Description:
Version Wololo is a tool to change between the following versions of Age of Empires II (useful for playing online):
- AoE II 2.0
- AoE II 2.0a
- AoE II 2.0b
- AoC 1.0
- AoC 1.0c
- AoC 1.0e
- AoC 1.1 (1000 population enabled)
- AoC 1.1 UPnP and windowed options
- Color fix
- Different game path support
It is based on the tOrMeNtIuM/m0d (2.0b, 1.0c, 1.0e) and xOmicron patches (1.1)

Posted: May 23, 2012 Filed under: Random stuff | Tags: Conquerors Leave a commentA few weeks ago I started to play my favorite role game again, which I had not played since 2004 or so. And I know MSN Gaming Zone is down since 2006, so here are some options to play online:
When MSN Gaming Zone was taken down, most of the gamers moved to Gamespy, but quickly lost interest because Gamespy is pretty bad. Most of the original MSN Zone gamers found their way to IGZ and a few of them in Gamespark. But IGZ and Gamepark (I’m not sure about the last one) doesn’t exist anymore. IGZ was bought by Voobly.
Voobly is sometimes slow but it has the biggest Conquerors community online, a ranking system, and most of the original clans are still in here, however it is more restricted than other options (I think you need 1.0c to play, and it has anti bots and traps).
Game Ranger exists since 1999 but it converted into a decent option in 2008 when they released a client version for Windows and started to support more than 500 Windows games including the Age of Empires saga.
I think this is the best option to play online with your friends and not with a clan or to show your master skills (Voobly). In Game Ranger you can play with any version of Conquerors, there are no restrictions and no ranking system. It has some premium options like voice during gameplay.
